Being an artist today has a number of challenges! There is everything from building community, getting opportunities, gaining exposure, finding inspiration, and even trying to build economic stability to continue doing what you love!
Most of us are splitting time between full-time jobs, families, school, and relationships while trying to achieve our art goals and because of this we as artists felt there was a disconnect between the digital apps that were available to address artists needs appropriately.
This is why we began our journey of creating an app that is catered specifically for artists, called,” uCollabit.” Our mission is to become the central platform where artists go achieve their artistic goals to build on their careers and bring better economic stability to their lives!
As founders, we have been asking ourselves deeply for a number of years, how do we begin to solve this? The one answer that has been consistent is collaboration and meaningful connection. Above all else, artists and humans need love and community, especially those just starting out!
With our first beta app, we have put together a lite version of what our vision looks like with the available resources. This version, like all future versions, will be centred on building relationships with other artists and seeing what can be done together! This will eventually evolve into organizations, employers, and institutions specifically focusing on working with artists!
Our feature set is set up like traditional social media with varied nuances to create stronger user bonds.
